Dog Training
Proven Science Based Training that will set you and your dog up for success!
Group Classes
Feel like some company but don’t want to get lost in crowded group sessions? Our group sessions are designed to offer personalized training with only 4 dogs per class.
Private Training
Because sometimes our dogs also need to see a therapist!
Is your dog suffering from separation anxiety, resource guarding, aggression, or other behaviors?
Not sure I need group or private sessions?
We offer different services designed to suit your needs. If your dog displays a specific behavior you would like to work on, such as separation anxiety, aggression, leash reactivity, etc., then the private package would be better suited to meet your needs. We will work with you to build a training plan that will assist in achieving your training goals.
If you are looking for obedience and have no specific behavioral issue, then our group sessions are for you.
What training methods do you use?
Science-based, positive reinforcement, force free. We set your dog up for success using the Humane Hierarchy.
How old should my dog be for training?
There is no age limit, really. If your dog is old enough for you to become its parent, you can begin training. Ideally, you should begin your dog training as early as possible. However, puppies need to be fully vaccinated before they can socialize with other dogs. This typically is at 3 months old.
Is my dog too old for training?
At CE we don’t subscribe to the adage “can’t teach an old dog new tricks.” Your dog is never too old for effective dog obedience training because they can always learn, just like us. In some cases, your dog may have physical limitations due to their age that could prevent certain dog training activities, but generally, older dogs can learn just as quickly.
How do I get my dog to stop pulling on the leash?
Leash training is important for the safety of both you and your dog and it creates a positive experience that encourages the dog and human to maintain healthy habits. Beginning when they are young is best so that you can prevent them from developing bad habits and correct missteps quickly. But even older dogs can benefit from leash training if you put in the time. No matter the specific leash behavior you are looking to curb, our team offers effective leash training by understanding how to communicate with your dog.
